WELCOME!
I started college as a Painting major at Scripps College, but got cold feet and completed
a triple minor degree in Art History, Art, and Spanish at the University of Arizona.
After a 40-year detour through careers in Graphic Design and Education, I circled back
to my original college major, painting. My high school art teacher repeatedly told me to “loosen up” and “take creative risks” — advice I finally got around to taking only four decades later. Since then, I have become mildly unstoppable: taking classes at the local art center and joining the Estes Park Artist Studio Tour. Sales and commissions continue to surprise and delight me.
Working primarily in watercolor and oil, my fine art captures the landscapes, wildflowers, and shifting light of the Rocky Mountains through bold shapes, expressive color, and a distinctly contemporary style. My paintings balance abstraction and recognition, inviting you to experience familiar, natural scenes in fresh and unexpected ways.
