Artist Statement
Many of my paintings are inspired by hikes and travels, especially in the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park and the nearby national forests that surround my home. Working directly from these experiences, I seek to capture the quiet rhythms of the landscape through shape, shadow, and light.
Through my work, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and nostalgia—gently reminding viewers to unplug and step outside into the stillness and beauty of the natural world. While I continue to explore new techniques, styles, and mediums, I remain deeply rooted in the American landscape tradition. My work is ever evolving, much like the landscapes and stories that inspire it.
